Description
Since 1975, the Valley Cultural Center has presented a series of free Concerts during the summer. Organized to enrich the lives of Valley residents, these concerts feature top pop, jazz, classical, folk, and world music performances in the afternoon at Warner Park. The series includes food, booth vendors, and a children’s play area.

THE LAVENDEREFFECT® invites you to Flagging in the Park.  This joyful musical and visual event will feature DJ Casey Alva. We encourage all ages, identities, and abilities to participate. Flags and flagging lessons will be offered by our community partners during the first hour. The tradition of Queer Flagging started in gay clubs in the late 70s & early 80s. Discos like Studio One encouraged “flaggers” to warm up and/or maintain the energy on the dance floor.

Khalil Nelson is your host for a guided tour of Bob Baker Marionette (BBMT) Theater on the occasion of the Theater’s 60th Anniversary and as it prepares to preview scenes from its first original production in 40 Years!

Tours include backstage, our fabrication workshop, and music and visual archives! Khalil will share the world of BBMT through the lens of the creation of our new scenes, as part of the current show and in preparation for a full production in 2025, Choo Choo Revue! Don’t miss it!
