Dia De Los Muertos

Enjoy live music and dance performances on the outdoor stage. There will also be face painting, artisan and food booths, altars, a Ferris wheel, and more fun for the whole family!

The Plaza de la Raza’s annual Día de los Muertos Festival is a family-friendly celebration of art, music, dance, and tradition. The event includes art exhibitions and ofrendas by local artists, mainstage performances, hands-on workshops, local food booths, craft vendors, and more. All guests are welcome to add photos or items of their loved ones to our main community altar. There will be a beloved pet altar as well.

Lincoln Heights Youth Arts Center presents the 7th Annual Día de los Muertos Days of Remembrance from Wednesday, October 30 to Saturday, November 2, 2024! Bring your family and friends and participate in creative activities centered in traditions that honor the Día de los Muertos holiday. Everyone is welcomed to honor their loved ones in our public Community Altar. Offerings of remembrance  can be brought to LHYAC from Wednesday to Friday between 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The program is free and open to the public!

Commemorate your loved ones (pets included) and learn about the sacred tradition of Día de los Muertos at Tía Chucha’s Centro Cultural & Bookstore, from Thursday, October 17 to Friday, November 1, 2024. This DCA-Sponsored program offers workshops in Sugar Skull Making to Tamale making to Community Altar Building. Reservations are required. Please visit Tía Chucha’s event page to register!
