World Tourism Day, designated by the United Nations and celebrated yearly on Sept. 27th, ushers in our one-day event on the 28th, where Thai and non-Thai attendees are welcomed to experience the wonders of Thailand in their own backyardโand in a different area of the city from the usual night markets available in Thai Town and LAโs east side. The westside event will celebrate Thai cultural identity with food, art, culture, and sports. Guests can expect world-class cuisine and demonstrations from LAโs best Thai restaurants, including Thai SELECT honorees (the official โseal of approvalโ awarded by the Royal Thai Governmentโs Ministry of Commerce to deserving products and restaurants) and special appearances by world-famous WBC Muay Thai fighters Buakaw Banchamek and Saenchai Saepong.
