Description
In a mountainous village in Lesotho, an aging widow, Mantoa, eagerly anticipates her son’s return from a South African mine for Christmas. Tragedy strikes as news of his mining accident arrives, plunging Mantoa into existential turmoil. Isolated by grief, Mantoa becomes detached from God, her village, and reality, longing for death to reunite with her kin and seeking solace in the local cemetery.
