Join us on Saturday, May 31 at Emerson College Los Angeles for a high-energy celebration of K-Pop culture, AAPI creativity, and community connection. This FREE event brings together fans, families, and friends for an unforgettable afternoon of music, food, art, and conversation.

🎬 Fireside chat with Teddy Zee, legendary Hollywood producer and producer of “Lee Soo Man: King of K-Pop”
🎤 Live spoken word + musical performances by emerging AAPI artists
🛍️ Shop local with vendors like Ann Suk Wang (Children’s Book Author), jumie ceramics, Saero Coffee, Domi, Red Letter Day, Rifill Candle, and seoulfulcharcuterie

Monterey Park’s Lunar New Year festival features vendors offering unique gifts and specialty items, food booths with various types of delectable items, amusement rides, and lots of live entertainment. The traditional New Year lion and dragon dancers will kick off the festival Saturday morning. Various types of entertainment will be featured on both days. A carnival fun zone will be featured in parking lots at the corner of Garvey and Lincoln Avenues.

Description

As part of the expanded program, DCA|PERF invited local Storytellers who identify as Chinese, Korean, and/or Vietnamese to submit a short story they will perform at the Eastern Projects Gallery. The selected story tellers will join three performers. Stories will be 5-10 minutes in length. Join us on Sunday, February 25, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
