 Geffen Playhouse offers complimentary tickets to firefighters, first responders, and individuals impacted by wildfires for performances in the 2024/2025 season. This initiative aims to provide a night of entertainment and respite to those affected. Eligible individuals can reserve tickets for the upcoming show, “The Reservoir” (June 18 – July 20, 2025).

This summer, Shakespeare by the Sea will transport audiences from the lush Forest of Arden to the intrigue of Ancient Rome with one  of Shakespeare’s most famous plays.   As you Like It Banished from home, Rosalind flees to the Forest of Arden with friends, discovering freedom, love and her truest self in Shakespeare’s uplifting comedy of transformation and new beginnings.

Theater under the stars! This summer the fully staged productions of Love’s Labour’s Lost (Shakespeare) and Doctor Faustus ( Marlowe) is presented by the stellar classical actors of Independent Shakespeare Co. Broadway World says “ISC delivers a rousing good time whenever they strut their stuff!” Pack a picnic, grab your friends and family by the hand and meet us in the iconic Old Zoo in Griffith Park. Performances are free and open to the public!

  • Love’s Labour’s Lost  Wednesdays through Sundays, from June 25 to July 27, at 7:00 p.m.(No performance July 4th).
  • Doctor Faustus Wednesdays through Sundays, from August 6 to August 31, at 7:00 p.m.

Fire Kinship counters attitudes of fear and illegality around fire, arguing for a return to Native practices in which fire is regarded as a vital aspect of land stewardship, community well-being, and tribal sovereignty.
