Originally created as part of LIFE, a Hammer Museum exhibition exploring speculative futures, this video performance captures Senyawa’s powerful musical language and its intersection with themes of resistance, ritual, and technology.

The evening explores the diverse and dynamic voices of five Korean and Korean-born composers. There is a new violin concerto by SooBeen Lee. Sun-Young Pahg’s L‘autre moitie de Silence showcases the traditional Korean bamboo flute called the daegeum. Closing the evening, Unsuk Chin’s Gougalon channels “imaginary folk music” to explore her memory of Seoul in the 1960s.
