The Acadmy Museum presents the Film Series Beware the Elements! Natural Disasters on Film
Following a summer of record-breaking heatwaves, extreme wildfires, historic floods, and a truly unprecedented “hurriquake,” we find the perilous realities of climate change increasingly impacting our daily lives. This screening series considers natural disasters through our planet’s primary elements—earth, wind, water, and fire—and seeks to highlight key moments in the history of the disaster film genre as a source of entertainment and portrayal of science, and as a tool to raise our collective consciousness about science-based solutions to the mounting global climate crisis.Click the here to see the featured films selected for this series.

Jamaica Bay Inn presents a free outdoor movie series every Sunday with a movie starting at dusk. Warm drinks, snacks, and treats are available for purchase. Bring low chairs, blankets, and pillows. Seating is first come, first served.
The 9th Annual Haiti International Film Festival is a two-day film festival celebrating Haitian art and culture. Outdoor movies during the summer can be a fun and enjoyable way to spend time with friends and family while enjoying the warm weather and the magic of the big screen.Films are presented on a 30-foot theatrical screen with digital projection, surround sound, and high-resolution digital pictures.
This is, a ten-week concert and movie series. NoHo Summer Nights runs on Saturday nights at the corner of Magnolia and Tujunga, next to the Amelia Earhart Library. Food will be available for purchase on site, and guests are welcome to check out a variety of interactive art booths.
