The outdoor concert series at The Music Center returns with an exciting lineup of global music artists. Global music artists, from Afro-Mexican rhythms to West African beats and Jazz Fusion, bring the summer sounds to The Music Center’s fourth annual low-cost outdoor concert series for the entire family.
The adventure begins when Peter Pan and his mischievous sidekick, Tinker Bell, visit the bedroom of the Darling children late one night. With a sprinkle of fairy dust and a few happy thoughts, the children are taken on a magical journey they will never forget. This extraordinary musical, full of excitement and adventure, features iconic and timeless songs.
Unbroken Blossoms is a historical reimagining of the making of a boundary-breaking Hollywood classic that shines a light on the collateral damage in the search for “authentic” representation, and asks what price we pay for our art.

An idealistic family man and a cynical aspiring filmmaker are hired as the Chinese American consultants for Broken Blossoms, Hollywood’s first onscreen interracial love story between a white actress and a white actor in yellowface makeup. If the circumstances were not already questionable enough, the consultants must contend with the outsized ego of the film’s director, D.W. Griffith, who is attempting to belie criticisms of racism after releasing his controversial film The Birth of a Nation.

Following a summer of record-breaking heatwaves, extreme wildfires, historic floods, and a truly unprecedented “hurriquake,” we find the perilous realities of climate change increasingly impacting our daily lives. This screening series considers natural disasters through our planet’s primary elements—earth, wind, water, and fire—and seeks to highlight key moments in the history of the disaster film genre as a source of entertainment and portrayal of science, and as a tool to raise our collective consciousness about science-based solutions to the mounting global climate crisis.Click the here to see the featured films selected for this series.
