Textile Artist Connie Rohman returns with a new stitching workshop: Needle Books! Make a functional and handcrafted stitched book to hold your needles and other sewing items. Ages 18+, $100 all materials included. Sundays January 28th and February 4th 12:30-3:30pm.
This moving, seminal, visual arts project was conceptualized and developed by the Arts Center Director, Rosie Lee Hooks who commissioned 13 artists from the community to use shovels as a canvas to honor the legacy of our ancestors. Each of the world-renowned, master artists who accepted the challenge have a history of building arts institutions in Watts and the greater Los Angeles community.

Experience the interior of Hollyhock House at your own pace with a self-guided tour. Docents are on hand to provide information and answer questions. Guidebooks are also available for visitors to use in the house.
