Description
Our long-time collaborator and Rebel Garden cofounder, Erica Montelongo, is currently leading participants from South Central Los Angeles in a multi-week mural series! Participants are painting a mural in the garden, designed to honor the history of the Rebel Garden and the original caretakers of the land. We’re excited that this piece will help beautify and raise awareness of this urban garden for years to come.  If you are interested in attending a viewing the completed mural on June 10th, please email info@ruckusroots.org for more information.

Description
Long Beach Museum of Art is honored to exhibit this prolific artist in Long Beach for the first time. Haring’s guiding principle was that art should belong to everyone, which in turn is the driving force of this exhibition. It has appeared in New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, and the northern cities of Monza and Parma, Italy, offering powerful examples of how Haring fought for change, using art as a platform for activism.

Description
The room is completely covered with mirrors and lights. As the multitude of lights reflect, they accumulate and expand exponentially. This sense of infinity has been with the artist from the beginning, always looking for more precise ways to express itself. In Infinity Mirrored Room—The Souls of Millions of Light Years Away, Yayoi Kusama’s world is the viewer’s.
