Each year, the City of West Hollywood celebrates the artistic contributions of the LGBTQ+ community with its vibrant Arts Festival. This year’s event will begin with two art exhibits, a Vogue ball, a poetry happening, and a Transmasculine comedy show, along with additional arts grant programs, Prism Comics Q-Con, a free concert from GMCLA, and interactive typewriter poetry from Pride Poets.

Long Beach Museum of Art is honored to exhibit this prolific artist in Long Beach for the first time. Haring’s guiding principle was that art should belong to everyone, which in turn is the driving force of this exhibition. It has appeared in New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, and the northern cities of Monza and Parma, Italy, offering powerful examples of how Haring fought for change, using art as a platform for activism.
