Scattered like stars across the night sky are over 20,000 Pacific Islands in Oceania, with a human history rich in ritual, narrative tradition, innovation, and art. Our mission is to incorporate the diverse cultures of the Pacific Islands, with a focus on Micronesia, into a permanent collection, educational programs, rotating exhibits, and living arts.

There are family-oriented activities, live music, and street and food vendors every Sunday. Bring your drum for the outdoor Drum Circle Workshop and the jam session at the World Stage. You’ll find fresh-made ice cream, jewelry, clothing, art classes, free entertainment, and fun.

All are invited to come together and celebrate the spirit of unity, diversity, and the rich heritage of Garden Grove during this Memorial Day weekend extravaganza. This year, the festival proudly embraces the theme, “Celebrating Our Hometown,” a tribute to the rich tapestry of culture, community, and cherished memories that make Garden Grove so very special.

Experience a restored home and agricultural compound from 18th-century Japan that provides a glimpse into rural life 300 years ago. Built around 1700, this 3,000-square-foot residence was the center of village life in Marugame, Japan.

Feed our playful koi, stroll the winding pathways, view the Tea House, or reflect at the Zen Garden. Each season unfolds with colorful blossoms, exciting cultural celebrations, and intriguing exhibits.
