This Japanese garden features a light hill-scape, pond, cascading 25-foot waterfall, and a formal teahouse designed by Kinzuchi Fujii. The garden is considered by many to be a masterwork, and it demonstrates the adaptability of Japanese culture in modern America.

Tia Chucha’s Centro Cultural holds its annual Celebrating Words Festival (CWF): Written, Performed, and Sung on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Vaughn G3 Academy!

The festival honors the teaching that our words are medicine found in our stories, creative arts, and cultural offerings.

Celebrate with the community and experience food vendors and and artisan market, live  performances, creative cultural workshops, art and book giveaways, and so much more!

Since 2005, the Celebrating Words Festival has served thousands of low-income, immigrant and working-class families by providing a brave space that encourages imagination and supports intellectual growth and healing, in the vital and unique way that arts and literacy can.

Reseda Rising Art Walk is a free, all-ages community celebration of the arts in Reseda. Join friends and neighbors on Saturday, May 18th from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. for live art, interactive art projects, vendors, live music, food trucks, and more!

Presented by District 3 Councilmember Bob Blumenfield with support from the LA Department of Cultural Affairs, the festival will activate the Great Streets Sherman Way corridor between Etiwanda and Lindley Avenue and aims to use art to re-energize the streets and engage local businesses to strengthen neighborhood pride.

Muralist Dave Young Kim’s A Momentous Moment in Time of Passage and Landing imagines over 30 birds traveling together in harmonious flight. Each bird pictured here is an official national bird from Asia and the Pacific Islands, representing the diverse communities who now call Southern California home.
