Since 1975, the Valley Cultural Center has presented a series of free Concerts during the summer. Organized to enrich the lives of Valley residents, these concerts feature top pop, jazz, classical, folk, and world music performances in the afternoon at Warner Park. Join us for a very special performance and art workshop celebrating the life and work Mexican-American queer post-war composer, Pauline Oliveros. A pioneer of experimental and electronic music, Pauline challenged societal hierarchical and patriarchal structures through her music, transforming the very act of listening. She encouraged musicians and non-musicians alike to engage with sound and each other with empathy and mutual respect. Free to families.
